ABOUT THE PROJECT

Furniture makes sense as part of a home

KEDRA is an independent portfolio concept for a fictional premium furniture brand. The work connected its visual identity, product catalogue and shopping interface, from content design to a working front end.

This case study presents the completed design and development work. It is not a client commission and makes no claim about measured business or conversion results.

STARTING POINT

From the whole room to the individual details

Choosing furniture combines visual and practical decisions. I needed to connect the atmosphere of furnished rooms with materials, dimensions, finishes and prices so visitors could compare their options clearly.

Two collections and five room guides start with the complete space. Living, dining, bedroom, workspace and studio-apartment stories offer layout, material and lighting advice before leading to the relevant products.

THE SOLUTION

One choice carried through the whole journey

I designed and developed a consistent brand language, bilingual content system and responsive shopping journey. Product cards, detailed galleries, filters and the device-local cart share structured product data.

Category, material, colour, availability and price filters work together alongside four sorting modes and accent-insensitive search. The chosen finish follows the product card, gallery and cart; size selection updates both the price and dimensions.

Cards have equal heights, a dedicated price row and aligned finish selectors and review blocks, making products easier to compare.

INTERACTIONS

A calm interface with clear feedback

A cinematic opening leads into restrained olive surfaces, furnished interiors and clean studio-style product illustrations. Both languages, the navigation and the product details are built from a consistent content system.

Galleries, image enlargement, search and the cart drawer are keyboard accessible. Scroll reveals and subtle state transitions respect reduced-motion preferences, while videos have dedicated pause controls.

DELIVERED EXPERIENCE

A complete shopping journey for demonstration

The finished demo connects 24 products, 8 categories, 2 collections and 5 complete room guides. The journey from search to demonstration order summary works in Hungarian and English.

The wishlist, cart and language preference remain in the current browser. Checkout includes address validation, two delivery options and a demonstration order summary. It illustrates the interface: there are no real payments, submitted orders or backend services.

DEMO SCOPE

Explore it without making a real purchase

Products, prices and stock are illustrative. Reviews are explicitly labelled fictional samples. No orders, messages, subscriptions or payments are transmitted.

Product and concept images are generated illustrations; videos are licensed stock footage. Sources for editorial photography and footage are recorded in the demo’s image credits. Image credits ↗
